Canesten Gyno – When treating vaginal thrush a single dose of pessary should clear up the infection inside the vagina. Canesten pessary is inserted high into the vagina to allow the clotrimazole to act directly in the area of infection.
Nystan – Nystan treats infections caused by candida species of fungi, in particular candida albicans. Nystan kills fungi and yeasts by interfering with their cell membranes. This kills the fungi and treats the infection.
Lamisil – Lamisil is an anti-fungal medicine used to treat infections caused by fungi.
What is thrush?
Thrush is caused by a fungus known as Candida albicans. Candida albicans can be present in the vagina without causing any symptoms of irritation. When the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina changes and the fungus can multiply and an infection will occur.
