Trinovum contains two active ingredients – ethinylestradiol and norethisterone. The dosages of both these ingredients will change throughout the month to help lower side effects. Trinovum is taken over a 21-day period usually starting within 5 days of menstruation. You take one tablet daily for 21 days followed by 7 pill free days.
