Pulmicort has been proven to be effective when it comes to controlling asthma triggers and providing relief from asthmatic symptoms such as wheezing and difficulty breathing. When a person suffers from asthma, the airways get blocked due to inflammation which prevents the free circulation of air in the lungs. Using Pulmicort can prevent the triggers of asthma. The medicine is used only to prevent the triggers of asthma, it does not work once you start having an asthma attack.
Pulmicort contains an active ingredient known as budesonide which is generally a corticosteroid. Corticosteroid is a kind of hormone which is naturally produced in our body by the adrenalin glands and controls inflammation. When Pulmicort is taken, the presence of budesonide in it hampers the release of the chemicals which cause inflammation, thus preventing asthmatic attacks.

How does Pulmicort work?

When Pulmicort is inhaled, it is absorbed by the cells of the lungs. The medicine then reacts with the cells of the lungs and prevents inflammation causing chemicals. Asthma triggers which are the result of the obstruction of your air passages (caused by inflammation and surplus production of mucus) can be controlled by using this medicine which eases the air passage providing comfort and relief. The lungs will have proper air circulation, preventing choking and breathing difficulties.

How do I take pulmicort?

Pulmicort is taken through a nebulizer or inhaled as a dry powder. This steroid needs to be taken only under the supervision and prescription of a doctor and the dosage needs to be continued and should not be stopped suddenly. Pulmicort is used to control and prevent asthma triggers and is in no way a treatment for the actual asthma attack. Prior to taking this medication, make sure that you tell your doctor if you have any other medical condition.

Are there any side effects?

Usually Pulmicort like any other inhaled steroid possesses good levels of tolerance, but there are certain side effects associated with it. Some of the common side effects which can be experienced while using this medicine are:

  • Abdomen pain
  • Chest pain
  • Dizziness
  • Weakness

If you experience any of the side effects mentioned above, contact your doctor immediately. Increased doses and prolonged usage of any steroid may lead to cases of osteoporosis; hence care should be taken while using the medicine to ensure good health and effective treatment.

Can I buy Pulmicort online?

Pulmicort is easy to buy online. All you have to do is to complete a brief online consultation with a doctor. Once the doctor is satisfied that you are ordering the correct medication for your condition, he/she will send a prescription to the pharmacy. You should receive your medication within 24 hours.

Works well for asthma treatment but it’s not really easy to wash your mouth after each time of use. Also causes ease of bruises and lowering the defence of immune system.

Works fantastically to manage my allergy-induced asthma symptoms. Have not needed “rescue” inhaler a single time since starting with Pulmicort. Have noticed some slight changes to my voice within the first couple of hours of each puff that slowly returned to normal over the course of the day.

Pulmicort works beautifully, really stops the cough. I took it for 3 months. then I lost my sense of taste and by the end of the 4th month I developed the most awful taste in my mouth so I stopped it. The horrible taste gradually disappeared after one year and my sense of taste has “almost” come back. It has now been 17 months since I stopped the medicine. my coughing is not gone when I exhale, but very much improved and no attacks. It’s the only medicine that works for me during attacks. I think once I improved I should have cut the dose way down.
