Description
How does Ovranette contraceptive work?
The ingredients in Ovranette are ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel. These are female sex hormones but synthetic copies of naturally produced hormones – oestrogen and progesterone. During the month levels of female hormones can alter when you have your menstrual cycle. The ovaries release an egg due to the changes in hormones, this is called ovulation. If an egg hasn’t been fertilised at the end of the cycle, the hormones will drop and you will experience your monthly menstrual bleed but if they have then you may be pregnant.
Ovranette offers a safe and almost 100% reliable form of contraception.
How do I take Ovranette?
Ovranette will start acting immediately when taken on the first day of your menstrual cycle. You continue this for 21 consecutive days, and then have a break where no pills are taken for 7 days. During this time you will experience your menstrual bleed. After the 7-day rest you must restart taking the pills again to ensure you are protected from pregnancy.
