Levels of sex hormones change throughout the month when women have their usual menstrual cycle. If you do not start taking the pill on the first day then make sure you are using another form of protection until Noriday starts to take effect. It will usually start to work after 7 days of taking the tablets. The tablets are then taken daily with no rest during your period. Once you finish the 28-day packet you simple commence taking the next packet.
