Description
What is Condyline?
Condyline is a podophyllotoxin solution designed to treat warts. Podophyllotoxin is sourced from the indian podophyllum plant roots. It works by preventing the wart cells from dividing and multiplying. After using the treatment for quite a while, the wart cells die and are replaced with new tissue.
How do I use Condyline?
The gel is applied as a thin layer over the infected area by your finger or applicator. It is used twice a day for three consecutive days and is fast acting, which means you should see results within those three days. If the warts are persistent then the course can be continued once a week for 4 weeks.
Side effects
All medicine has side effects associated with taking them however not everyone will suffer from them. Keep in mind that the benefits of taking medication to prevent a serious condition are more important than some minor side effects. Most side effects usually only last 1-2 weeks when taking a new medication. The side effects are less likely as condyline isn’t taken orally and is only applied to the skin. However some people may be more sensitive than others.
- Headache
- Skin irritation
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Inflammation

I had numerous cryotherapy treatments and used Condyline paint which both worked but the warts always came back. My doc prescribed Imiquimod as a last resort and it worked marvellously. The warts had almost completely disappeared after two weeks and I had none of the pain, burning or itching I had with condyline. After that the doc said twice weekly would be enough and after six weeks I was completely clear.
